Advertising spendings on various media in Russia will grow only by 3-4% in 2014. This is almost three times less compared to the last year as reported by Vedomosti based on the Vi analytics center report.
According to the Russian Media Agencies Association Russian advertising market volume grew by 10.1% in 2013 and reached 328 bln. Rubles. This was the lowest mark since 2008 crisis.
Vi suggests that in 2014 TV ads expenses will grow only by 5% and Internet by 16%, while printed media will see a drop by 19%. This year’s calculations might be affected by the Olympics, which attracted many advertisers as well as audience. Overall advertising market grows looks blurry and strongly depends on country’s economy grows which is almost stagnating.
