According to Data Insight research (Source: SlideShare, Russian), just 2000 online shops in Russia get more then 10 sales per day. In the same time just 100 retailers get above 1000 daily sales.
Report concludes that consumer electronics segments is already highly saturated. Turnover of the each retailers out of TOP 50 in this segment is over 5 mlm. Rubles per month. Stores itself a very diverse in size, niche and product selection. The fastest growing segment is hypermarkets, which enjoys high number of return buyers even with a moderate average order value, leading to a higher turnover. The least saturated niches are sport goods, household goods and DIY. It’s also possible to open niche fashion and cosmetics stores.
